Re-TRAC delivers unparalleled results in these critical areas of program management:
DATA COLLECTION |
Program data is collected in the system using customized input screens on
everything from population characteristics to materials collected. Since Re-TRAC
is about saving time, you only need to enter this data ONCE! It then automatically
appears everywhere it's needed. It's even distributed automatically to your Reports,
ready to populate them, when you're ready to print.
We can configure your Re-TRAC data entry screens to collect all of the unique
data that you require including:
- Demographic information such as population, households, income, etc;
- Recycling/Waste management program data
- Tons disposed of and diverted by material;
- Material Source and destination data;
- Financial data including program costs and revenue received.
Collecting data using Re-TRAC is easy and saves you time!

DATA ORGANIZATION |
Re-TRAC organizes and stores all of the data you are collecting in a user-friendly,
easy to navigate system. Information from all jurisdictions for which you have password
access are instantly accessible, as is historical data from any and all years for which
data has been imported into the system.
Re-TRAC allows you to visually track when reporting jurisdictions have submitted
their data for a given reporting period. This helps you stay on top of communities that
are slow in submitting their data.
Even though Re-TRAC automatically organizes and manages your data,
the need may arise for you to keep a record of the information. To accommodate
this need, Re-TRAC allows you to export your data into an Excel spreadsheet at any time.

DATA ANALYSIS |
The recycling and solid waste information being collected from communities
offers a great deal of value for comparison and benchmarking purposes. Re-TRAC
realizes this value by allowing users the ability to generate instant program
performance and trend analysis within and across jurisdictions. Analytical
reports are available at the community, county, and state levels.
With Re-TRAC you might even find a new appreciation for trend analysis
reports now that generating them is so painless! Re-TRAC provides a complete
breakdown for both the current year for which data has been collected, as well
as previous years. It does all the calculations for you, using standardized methods,
to give you graphical results that illustrate the "BIG PICTURE".
Re-TRAC automatically aggregates State and local data, giving you the power
to make your county or State-level cost and recovery analysis available to legislators,
the general public and other stakeholders when you need it. With jurisdictions in
multiple States using Re-TRAC, aggregated data can be "rolled up" into summary reports
for regional or national level review as required.
|
REPORT GENERATION |
If your State requires you to report information about your recycling or
waste management programs, Re-TRAC makes report assembly a one-click automatic
procedure. In consultation with you, we can tailor the Reporting function to
gather all the data details required by your State, making it possible for
you to create your State reports with the click of a button.
Over 70 types of reports are currently available in the Re-TRAC library.
Simply select the analysis that you would like to see and hit "generate report".

The Re-TRAC suite of additional services includes:
ON-LINE SURVEY SYSTEM
The On-Line Survey System allows public sector clients to collect waste & recycling
surveys from commercial/institutional/industrial generators, processors, disposal
facilities, haulers, multifamily dwellings, and others.
After we have configured your survey screen to match your requirements, you can
provide the necessary log-in information to survey respondents. They then go to the website,
fill out the form, and submit their information.
Public sector clients can then view submitted surveys individually or generate summary
reports that aggregate and summarize the responses. If you are a Re-TRAC client, tonnage data
is automatically linked to the proper material information pages in the appropriate sector.
Any type of information can be collected including tonnage data, yes/no questions, open
ended text responses, etc.
The On-Line Survey System offers many benefits to our clients. One client in Ohio achieved
the following benefits the year they began using the system:
- More than twice as many commercial and industrial businesses were surveyed the year
they switched to the Re-TRAC On-line system,
- The number of submitted surveys increased by 55%
- Total reported tonnages increased by 27%
- The amount of paper used during the survey process decreased by 60%.
- The cost was about the same as previous year
TRANSACTIONAL SYSTEM
The Transaction System allows Re-TRAC clients the ability to import data from
weigh-scale software used at landfills, transfer stations and other facilities.
Weigh scale data is then automatically combined in Re-TRAC with other sources of
recycling and solid waste information. With all data centralized, Re-TRAC becomes a
powerful tool for efficiently organizing, managing, and analyzing all of your
waste management information.
HHW APPOINTMENT SYSTEM
Do you require residents to make an appointment or to register when dropping off
material at your Household Hazardous Waste events? Are you concerned about
efficiently managing your HHW program costs and liabilities? Do you find the
process of summarizing and submitting your material totals time-consuming and
cumbersome? Well, we have a solution!
You now have the option of having your residents register for appointments
on-line at a website customized to your requirements. Key features include:
- Auto registration significantly reduces the amount of staff time required
to manage the scheduling process.
- Confirmation emails are automatically sent to residents after they have
submitted their information.
- County staff can register users, print lists and change details on-line
in real time the day of the collection event.
- Material totals are automatically tallied and organized for easy reporting
and vendor oversight.
